Religious belief is the norm established by every major society in the history of humanity, including those that enforced atheism tyrannically.

While atheism does not imply religion, I believe that some brands of atheism (remember, atheism is a unified thing) do entail a form of religion complete with leader worship.

Or maybe I'm making junk up.
