World's worst ward member ....

Post by _Rollo Tomasi »

See link below for article in today's Des News about a guy who put face shots of his family and ward members on bodies in pornographic poses and then posted them on the Internet. I wonder if he was the photographer for the ward picture directory.

"Moving beyond apologist persuasion, LDS polemicists furiously (and often fraudulently) attack any non-traditional view of Mormonism. They don't mince words -- they mince the truth."

1. The world is full of people who can't figure out the consequences of their actions. He is a prime example.

2. We don't have pictures in our stake directory.

I'm curious to know his rational. I doubt it was for "porny" reasons; it seems more like some kind of revenge prank. In which case, he would have wanted them seen...

Likely he'd say he was just being funny.

I didn't know it was unlawful to do what he did.

"I feel very strongly about sending the appropriate message to the public that he can't destroy lives like this, then not serve any straight time," Laycock said last month.

"Destroy lives?" Isn't that a bit over the top? Certainly, if he were taking nude pictures of these people without their knowledge and posting them to the net, one might think he was at least damaging something about their lives, but it wasn't even their bodies! I fail to see how this is "life destroying." Maybe I just haven't thought about it enough.

Anyone have any ideas how this might destroy someone's life?
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

So the guy's really good at Photoshop, for that you want him behind bars?

We should get the guy a job designing websites for some fortune 500 internet start up instead!

I mean you gotta admit, it is pretty effing hillarious seeing the Relief Society President in crotchless panties and a cupless bra whipping the bishop who's wearing only assless chaps!

Now what's the harm in that?

It's not like he actually touched anybody.

Psychological counseling for his victims? Are you kidding me?
Hell, they ought to be paying him for the free exposure! Uh, I mean, publicity. (boy that didn't come out right.)

Hey Schmo, fancy seeing you hear!

Problem is some people could see them and think they were real. What if these
victims had been fired from their job or lost a promotion because of this pictures.
.
I suggest the victim's ought to bring a civil lawsuit and see to it that he does have
a penny to his name for the next twenty years.
.
I would be none to happy if it happened to me! And I don't think you would be either.

Random tidbit of information. . . I actually know Claudia Laycock. She is in my foster mother's ward and used to be my Sunday School teacher.

Not knowing all of the information, my first reaction is that she kind of blew up. I don't remember her (even seeing her in court) have that kind of a reaction to something.

Hmmm. I may take a visit back to the old ward and see what I can dig up. Yay for cookies and milk with a judge.
