Remember the talk "The Mantle Is Far, Far Greater Than The Intellect" by Boyd K. Packer?
I thought I knew what mantle meant but this title of a BKP "joint" threw me. So I looked it up.
None of the definitions of the word quite fit (like I thought).
Well, no biggy. At least I know the thrust of the talk (A talk given at the Fifth Annual Church Educational System Religious Educators' Symposium, 22 August, 1981, BYU).
The thrust is that thinking to deeply or carefully about religious matters is ill advised. (And, if you think you have by research, reason, science or logic, dicovered something that goes against LDS belief, then you are decieved and possibly sinful).
I.e. "don't think to much".
