WTF? 65,543 New Messages?

So my little pm alerter just alerted me that I had 65,543 new messages.
I thought, oh wow! :O
Looked and just a few...so what's up with THAT?
Is anyone else having pm issues?

I'm quite cautious about 1 message, let alone 65,543. Good thing I rarely get PM's (unless it's Shades telling me to quit taking up so much bandwidth!)
