I'm Getting Bored...

No, I'm not leaving the board...this is not one of those cheesy "talk me out of leaving" type posts. I'm also not criticizing this board or it's posters in any way. I've just found that I'm significantly less interested in the topics concerning Mormonism than I was when I started posting here. During my first six months on the board I read nearly every topic with interest. I've never been a high-volume poster, but when I did post, I put a lot of time and thought into it. Lately, I've been resorting to quick, one-liners. I've also been spending more time in the off-topic forum. I'm wondering if my apathy is a result of my "getting over" Mormonism (I'm still on the records but consider myself an atheist)? Or...am I in some kind of cycle that goes from interest to apathy and back to interest again? Have any of you experienced this cycle? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You might be experiencing internet overdose, especially if you only read 'Mormon related' sites. It is not easy to be an internet exmo/MO poster. The boards are very negative and not very uplifting. The soul can feel down and out, as the soul runs out of energy to engage in such routines.
Look upon it as normal. Leave for a while and then come back when your mind has cleared. Of course, you will run the risk of overdosing again. But you will be more prepared next time.

Boy, I am right there with you. A few one-liners, almost anything for a laugh. Everything else is quite boring, but I think important. Don't get me wrong.
I am enjoying Kevin's latest go round with Brother Bokovoy, but other than that......and some of the blogs I enjoy.
I think it is a sign of getting over the stuff. It's nice, isn't it?
It would be nice if we could all take Some Schmo's tag line for our own.

I can totally relate. I never go to the Celestial forum strictly because it's all this talk about Mormon doctrine, as though that were a subject really worth discussing and as though someone actually took it seriously.
I find myself skipping over a lot of topics these days. I generally find myself interested in a topic if it's about this board, or the people, or if I see that someone I enjoy reading has made a post in it.
So I think I've gotten to where beastie was saying she was at, which is that it's not about the Mormonism, it's about hanging out with exmormons.

Hang in there, man. Just a few more to godhood.
Won't that feel good? I will drink a beer with you (over the internet) when you get there. lol

I don't think this is an "overdose". I use the internet all the time. I frequent many discussion boards, though this is the only one I post on. I spend most of my time on websites dealing with movies, video games, music, books, etc. (like Chud, AICN, ign, pitchfork, etc.) I don't find myself feeling depressed or down-and-out after reading posts here, I just find that I don't care much about the topics anymore.

Thanks man! :)
Oh, I'm sure I have a few more inconsequential space-filling non-contributing nonsensical posts left in me.

Schmo and Gramps:
Thanks. I think this is what I'm experiencing. I'm with you on the internet beer when Schmo reaches godhood.

Cool! When will Schmo reach Everest is what we need to know. I don't want to miss the big event. In fact, let's just keep posting back and forth on this thread and schmo can do a couple triple posts and we can celebrate tonight!
I already started. It's a hefeweissen for me tonight. Then a nice micro brew at my favorite pub here in Dresden. They still have a picture of Lenin up on the wall. A great place to celebrate!

There's a funny image....Schmo, silentkid, and gramps sitting in different parts of the world drinking beer and singing Louie Louie to each other over Skype.
