This is exactly why I provided a link to the expositor and challenged whyme to copy and paste the hate filled sections.
I also doubt he has actually read it.

I read the Expositor first (and only) edition available on Dale Broadhurst's site once and afterward I was like "hmm, that's it?"
I honestly thought going in that I would find some really wild, Satan-inspired call to tar and feather and murder the Prophet or something. I mean, it's built up so much as just an instrument of pure evil, after reading the real thing I was thinking hmm, ok, well William Law just really didn't buy into Joseph's justifications for polygamy and thought Joseph was guilty of sin and needed to repent. Not that he wanted Joseph's head on a pike or anything like that.

Yeah, same reaction here. Thomas Sharp's paper was more the rabble-rousing, Mormon-hating rag, but William Law's little paper was almost pollyanna-ish in its innocent moralizing.

Crimeny... If there weren't all of this folklore bashing William Law and accusing him of trying to kill Joseph Smith, which probably didn't happen, this guy might be considered a prophet of sorts. After all, Mormons are falling all over themselves to forget the very same things that Law complained about, if they even know about them in the first place. If it weren't for all of the implicit Joseph worshiping going on, you might think this was Law's church.
