I honestly think its DP, but I dunno... I'd like to hear others' ideas on this one.

I doubt very much it's DCP. Liz probably knows. :)

That was probably the most embarrassing mod performance I've seen over there since the mods went into full sneer mode when John Gee issued his infamous challenge.

Liz was a mod there until they banned her.

I doubt it is Bishop Daniel C. Peterson. Bishops are extremely busy.

I had mixed feeling about this. I did not like it when a venue was provided to take pot shots at Nephi, nor did I like it when Monkey's genuine concern was trivialized by saying it was a case of Mormon Discussions taking care of "one of their own". On the other hand, I did like the atmosphere of an open and non-censorious exchange on an issue. The thread was closed and deleted before I could read all of it, but I was somewhat encouraged by a moderator taking part in the exchange without a lot of red screen ink or threats of suspension. In this instance, I guess it was a case of can't win for losing.

Whoever Momus is, they obviously stepped out of the traditional MAD mod role and I can't help but think that is a good thing. It shows Mormons can appreciate freedom of expression. That said. my greater concern remains for for Nephi's wellbeing. Hopefully that will be addressed.

I don't know or care who Momus was. I understand why Momus did what he/she did after becoming frustrated with Nephi.

Nephi acted VERY poorly over there. And what they did REALLY is no different than the Ray A thread is a nutball, the continous threads about DCP, etc... The difference in MY mind was that I felt Nephi was being taunted and I was concerned for his mental health. Otherwise I would have likely stayed out of it. His behavior seemed VERY outside the norm for me and I was deeply concerned for him.

Now, there are people on this board that are dogpiled and I usually will say something too - in passing - but I don't fear for their mental health and most of them seem capable of defending themselves. Just something about what happened yesterday struck me as very, very wrong.

But I don't think this board needs to pat themselves on the back. This board is notorious for dogpiles of persons with taunts and ridicules.

I was heated yesterday because I was concerned for Nephi - and that's pretty much it.

Mok, I also sort of liked the Mod getting in and going for it without all the red ink. I wish they'd do away with the Mod sockpuppets and just come out into the open.
