what would you do if you were prophet for a day?

If I were a believer I would change water in the sacrament to wine as it looks more like blood and blood doesn't taste good and I don't like wine but I could drink a sacrament cup of wine; I would offer the sacrament every day at 7:00 am at the stake center. I would cancel early morning seminary. I would create a program where people are encouraged to tell the truth; I would frame ever church document and open the biggest LDS history museum in Salt Lake City. I would change the motto from "return with honor" "to tell the truth and let each person decide". If there was a war in heaven then that is what they did....

I would declare a permanent change in the missionary program. As a church, the proselytizing mission focus would change to offering humanitarian service within communities around the world. Missionaries could teach, if approached, but would follow the example of Ammon, service.

If I were King for just one day...

C'mon, you wicked and slothfull servant, hiding your talents! Maybe God wants to see what Nehor has internalized these many decades in the church. How is it that so very many businesses and churches function so well for so very long without the Lord constantly fiddling and tampering in their affairs?

I can already tell I would do a better job, even as a critic! Ha ha - all in fun of course!

Denounce garments and the Book of Abraham, proclaim the Book of Mormon to be inspired fiction, kill Sunday School, bring back the giant beards.

Don't know what I would do after lunch though.

You likely wouldn't make it to lunch.

Or be prophet for a day, for that matter.

Ah, but according to some (*cough - charity*), you need to approach God with a proposition and have it confirmed by him - he's not going to come right out and tell you anything.

So I guess you wouldn't have to do much, if you just waited for him to tell you something. Not a bad idea I suppose - we can all use a day off.
