Help! My bro was just called by a Scientologist

This is freaky. My brother just got a phone call from a Scientologist. Normally I don't worry about religions, but I do worry about Scientology when it comes to my own family. I worry because I've seen videos and ready plenty about how they harass those who they do not like. I'm afraid my bro will be harassed if he contacts them.
So far, all they've done is call him on the phone. Personally I think it's freaky that they have his phone #. They said they just want to send him an email. If anyone knows how to stop the harassment before it begins, please let me know.
thanks,
Asbestosman

They did the same to me in the early '80s. I was "analysed" and told I need "therapy", L. Ron style. They followed up at my address (which I was stupid to give them anyway), and told me I could pay for a course in "therapy". by the way, I don't see any comparisons to Mormonism, at all.
I was polite to them. They were nice people. I sat in a cubicle viewing L. Ron's films, then later filled out a questionaire, which resulted in me being assessed as needing "help", at a cost. So I just told them I was not willing to pay for "help". That got rid of them. Just say you have no money, and that should get rid of them.

I would just politely tell them I'm not interested and hang up. If they call back, do it again. They don't have time to start a vendetta on someone just for hanging up. I'm sure they get hung up on all the time, a zillion times a day. There's no particular reason to think they know your brother from Adam. It's just a cold call, nothing more. Definitely don't give them an email address. No freaking way.

They called again. Looks like they got his phone number from someone mistyping their own. Either that or they tried to find someone with a similar name who had contacted them and then looked up the number in the phone book. They have the address wrong. Looks like things are gonna be fine. I'm to leave Scientology alone and just want them to leave me and my own alone. I could care less what they believe or do amongst themselves.
Wow, I made it to Sethbag's tagline. I'm flattered. You really thought my remarks were that good, huh? Heh.

"When I told them I needed to unzip to roll out my antennae and display my digital analyzer to help audit their class, they motioned for two of the more burly Scientologists to show me to the door." How many times is this very scenario reenacted daily? Why are these Scientologists so picky with who attends their free seminar?

Stop looking for approval, Abestos. Okay, I'm looking for approval, too. And I'm annoyed that my worshipful idol Dan Peterson only quotes Scratch. Now
that pisses me off! He only gives approval to apostates!
I guess I'll have to put on one of my many faces, just so I can be quoted!!!!

How did he come in contact with Scientology or this particular individual who happens to belong to an organization that smacks more of high pressure wacko-life coaching/religion than even Mormonism?

Tell your bro not to give them his email address. Tell your bro to threaten to sue them for harrassment.
It is possible for anyone to get anyone else's number these days.

That sounds like a cold call tactic.

well asb,
I think you're going to have to tell them the same thing that somewhere, a Scientologist had to tell his brother who had recently been tracted out by Mormon missionaries.
