Another brain-dead individual posting on MAD about sex

Post by _Zoidberg »

So this poster who goes by a very fitting moniker myth opened a thread titled "Declining Moral Standards: A First Hand Look, Has it always been this way?" (emphasis added and my comments in brackets):

I would like to write on a subject regarding morals, particularly those of a sexual transgression nature. [Isn't this redundant? I thought morals could only refer to sexual behavior] My target audience is everyone, and I will be reporting on the 14-18 age group located in Utah [You see, the sample of the girls he dated is so large and random that he is actually going to report his findings to us].

Young Women
It has been three years since I have graduated high school. I've always been the goto guy for advice regarding just about anything for women. I'm very nice and understanding, and I keep secrets. I've also had the opportunity to steady date 6 girls in high school, and over a dozen post-high school. Out of that 18 count sample, 16 have committed a serious sexual sin one or more times.

They all fit the same profile:
-Wealthy, incomes ranging from $100k to $350k a year
-White
-LDS and Active
-Sandy/Draper Utah Area
-Transgression(s) were committed at 14-17 years of age

By common judgment, all these young women are in prime circumstances to avoid such a sinful confrontation. All faltered when put under pressure. At the age of 18 I also dated a 16 year old, the first time she committed such an act when she was barely 15 years old. The younger the girl I dated, the earlier she had such a problem. The older, the later in life she made the mistake.

Did they come from bad homes? No, here is a sample of a few father's occupations/callings...

[this is where the secret keeper reveals some personal information that I should never have reposted in the first place]

Astounding what our young women have sunk to! To be positive, the majority of these girls only transgressed once and felt utterly remorseful. Also went through the repentance process and are now home free. [they are home free? as opposed to when they were being jailed for their whoredoms?]

Young Men

I am a young men. Lets preface with the fact that I have never had to deal with such a problem. The majority of my friends have also not had to.

I want to focus on the young men that were with the formentioned young women. How horrible? At least we all have a mutual understanding of our low moral beliefs. It makes me sick to my stomach that young men would initiate such horrible practices with pure young women. How many other young women must they strike before they figure it out?

Perhaps I should stop at Young Men, before I start rambling and ranting. I hope you understand the point that I am trying to make regarding the subject.

My prime observation is that it is starting to happen more and more often, and at younger and younger ages [I only wonder what rock this guy has been living under for the whole 21 years of his existence]: Why is this happening? What is the cause?

Sensitive subject

I'll try to handle the subject of myth's incredible ignorance with appropriate sensitivity. Not to mention the fact that he thinks it's okay to draw conclusions about the whole population based on the 18 people who were unfortunate enough to date him; I suspect that the results were significantly skewed due to the fact that only girls who no one esle wanted since they were licked cupcakes (it appears that myth's dating experience was taking place in Utah; need I say more?) were desperate enough to go out with such a treasure.

Peer-reviewed journals may have published countless articles with stats on teen sexual activity over the years, but, of course, myth's personal experience is much more valid.

Journal of Adolescent Health:

Enormous changes in adolescent sexual behavior
have occurred over the past 40 years. Beginning in
the late 1960s, the proportion of teen women who
had ever had sexual intercourse increased substantially
through 1988. Since 1988, national data
suggest that this historical trend has stopped or has
reversed. Between 1991 and 2001, sexual
experience (i.e., ever having had sexual intercourse)
among young women in high school decreased from
51% to 43%.

Interestinlgy enough, no one else there took the time to tell myth to stop spreading... well, myths. In fact, most people agree with him that teenage girls are having more and more sex as years go by. Or perhaps sexual activity among LDS young woemn is several times higher than the national average?

The thread was also embellished with the latest gem from Hammer:

Girls identity in our world today is almost totally connected to sexuality.

Guys have sports, and other things to connect their masculinity and identity with.

I sure hope the guy doesn't have any daughters.

Let me translate for you there, Zoidberg. This guy is gay. Go-to guy who can keep secrets indeed.

You know what we need? We need more licked cupcake-type object lessons. I'm collecting data on sexual activity vs. the decline of kitchy oject lessons and there is a 1:1 corrolation.

Weeell, I generally dislike stereotypes. My husband claims to have been a go-to guy, and I have every reason to believe he is straight, if you know what I mean.

I also generally dislike stereotypes. I read this guy's comments again, though, and I have the same impression. He's gay and he's projecting his self-hatred onto his 'immoral' counterparts. It seems his own issues are the genesis for his disgust. This makes it difficult for me to take anything he has to say seriously.

This is a pretty funny one.

Okay. I went and read the comments.

I really liked:

I'm now praying for the day when the Revelation will come to the Lords annointed that it is now time to take our youth out of the schools (predominately), and begin holding school at home or in our churches.

My heavens, it is getting pornographic. A serious sin is defined as:

What the law defines when rape has occurred (although rape has a few more conditionals). It's penetration, extended penetration to the point of orgasm. This can be by any bodily extremity; Penis, fingers...use your imagination.

Interestingly enough the guys never were on the defense, girls always were. So in fact the men always initiated...

Layman's terms: Hand penetration all the way to "home base."

Those pesky guys, again. And, what, the woman must have an orgasm for it to become a "serious" sin?

Sheesh....once again I shake my head at the way some people think. Even posters like koakaipo (who I like) seem to have this instilled view that women are these weak helpless creatures who exist solely to be ravaged by the supermen who were (sunofagun!) born with penises.

I also didn't like the argument that "Men have sports, what do women have except sex and motherhood?". I don't know....how about a career? How about their friends? How about exercise or reading or any of a thousand hobbies they could do that don't include having a penis inserted into them? Sheesh.
