Unfortunately, yes. If you mean Canada and Mexico, too, then yes. We own them too. South America is too messed up. We don't want it.

It's not as powerful as an Oprah endorsement (Obama), but better than a Kevin Bacon (Edwards).

Personally, I would prefer a President McCain and a Vice President Romney, because of their positions on social issues.

Given Romney's opposition to McCain-Feingold and McCain-Kennedy, I doubt they'd team up. But I suppose it's possible.

Politics makes strange bed-fellows, but you may be right about that.

To be completely honest, I would like to see Alan Keyes as President.

Since that has no way of happening, I am leaning toward Fred Thompson.

I take that back, now that I think about it more. McCain, if you remember, was THE annointed pick of the Republican movers and shakers, so we'll have to see. Of course, that's only if Romney can win.

There's not a snowball's chance in the hot place of McCain going for VP. Guys who go for VP do so for what used to be just one reason, and that was to position themselves for a future run for President. Cheney changed all that, by adding a new reason, ie: to be the puppetmaster pulling the strings behind a total moron of a president.

McCain is too old to go VP now. Some people think he's already too old to run for President. Add another 4 or 8 years to that and it'd definitely be too late. For McCain, it's now or never. Probably never. Too bad, though. I like McCain in a lot of ways, though in some others not as much.

I don't really like any of the current crop of Republican candidates. I've voted Republican for President since my first election after I turned 18. That may change. I don't know.
