Stop the idiotic political e-mails, PLEASE!!

Have you all noticed a new surge of political smear e-mails circulating?

My mom has sent me 2 in the past week, both of which are bunk.

The first...

The Pastry Chef:

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.

Does this sound idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of democrats polled agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State. When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the white house, Dick Morris stated "so has the pastry chef".

Ummm...isn't Hillary the current SENATOR FOR NEW YORK!!!! She just might have a little bit more political experience than "the pastry chef" has football experience.

This one I got today...

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U.S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita, Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obam a was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia.
When Obama was 6 years old the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.'

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that he is not a radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school
in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!!

Would you want this man leading
our country?......
NOT ME!!!

A quick 10 second search on snopes shows that this e-mail is GROSSLY distorted, if not utterly false.

Haha. I've gotten 2 Obama emails in the last few days from TBMs. Nothing more than racism and bigotry. Both are debunked on snopes.

I guess I'll be expecting the hillary one next.

These are the same people whining about the mitt romney 'anti-mormon' stuff out there.

I will agree that Hillary does have experience and it is silly to say she does not. She has 6 years plus as a senator for NYS, She was a partner at a succesful law firm and my guess is she was highly active in her husbands presidency.

A friend of mine repeated the bit about Obama being sworn in on the Quran when I told him that's who I was voting for. I told him to fact-check his right-wing chain-letter bull**** before he goes around repeating it. I doubt my advice sunk in, though.

In other words, Hillary has been a junior senator of a few years (in which she has been, legislatively speaking, almost inert) and was married to the President for eight years, eight years in which she ran damage control for her husband's endless scandals and, both politically and managerially, utterly botched her cockamamie universal health care scheme.

She has no foreign policy experience, has no understanding of the military, is an economic illiterate, and the successful law firm (Rose) she was a member of was involved in a particularly shady real estate scam that has, as of yet, never been fully brought to light and in relation to which she was yet involved in one of the earliest Clinton scandals revolving around the Rose Law Firm billing records, which mysteriously disappeared from Web Hubble's office after Vince Foster's suicide, and then under equally mysterious circumstances, appeared in the White House living quarters--with Hillary's and Hubble's fingerprints all over them.

The thing was, of course, is that Hillary claimed no knowledge of their disposition.

Hillary's candidacy doesn't have a prayer, in any case. She is far to divisive a figure, and its unlikely that the American public is in for a staggered dynasty of Machiavellian opportunists like the Clintons. Frankly, I think most people would be less concerned about Hillary as President that worrying about what Bill is up to behind the scenes.

That smear against Obama almost makes me want to vote for him--until I remember that I intend to vote for candidates for their policies and not their backgrounds, race, etc. Only God knows who I'll really vote for at this point. In any case, those smear emails seem to have the opposite effect for me, especially when I find out the truth.

I do not like Hillary but she has more experience the her main opponent on the democrat side and as much or more then some republicans. I like Romney but politically he has only 4 years as a governor. Hillary is as politically experienced as my first pick.

I'm a registered Democrat, but come November I'll be voting for Johnny McCain, assuming he takes the nomination. I've contemplated changing parties just so I can pick him in the primary.
