Are they keeping the apostle slot for Mitt?

Post by _karl61 »

I have to say that i'm really sad that he's likely not going to get the nomination. You always hear that the voter doesn't like either person at the election - well they have someone they could like if they took the time to get to know his thoughts. Just my view - Now that it looks like a McCain/Huckabee ticket, will Mitt get the apostle slot with his knowledge of security and finance. I think he would likely say - hey I need a rest - Let me wait for someone else to go and then ask me again.

It's possible Mitt would be called to be a GA in some form, or even a mission president.

One thing's sure. He won't have to do any campaigning in Utah Saturday, since he'll be attending the funeral.

I believe Mitt is slated to be the next junior Senator from Utah.

I'm totally not trying to be a jerk here....because I'm sure Mitt has respect and cares for President Hinclkey in his attendence today, but in a way, by attending, he is showing solidarity with the Utah Mormons (his biggest supporting group) is campaigning....or at least keeping his loyal followers close.

You can always tell where the spin is where the news is mentioning Mitt is "taking time off from the campaign". please. There is no such thing.

I don't think he needs to worry about the Mormon vote. But this sure proves to the evangelicals that he is in on some super Mormon cospiracy to take over the world.
