Where Have All The Exmos Gone

Post by _Coggins7 »

Well I lived my life and never stopped to worry what it meant
Walked around and did my thing until the very end
Wondering if I'd been wrong
What will happen when he comes

Won't you tell me
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos goen?

Well once we thought we had it made and God was just a myth
Time flowed by just like the wine and all that stuff I miss
Let it be like yesterday
My Bishop says I'd better pray

I sit and ponder 'bout the crazy things I used to think
That everything was random chance and Joseph was a fink
Now the time of judgment's day is nigh
Mr. Quinn looks up at you and cries

Won't you tell me
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos gone?

Well, yesterday was such an easy time to mock and scorn
But let's face it things are looking terribly forlorn
Guess you had an attitude
Some anti-Mormon platitudes

Won't you tell me
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos gone?
Where have all the exmos gone?

Sung to the tune of Van Halen's version.

Gee, that's touching, Cogs. I'm sure you'll shed a few crocodile tears as we shuffle off to hell.

And here's to you, Mr. Coggins son.
Heathens love you more than you will know. Woah. Woah. Woah.
No God for us Mr. Coggins son.
Communists and socialists don't pray.
Hey hey hey. Hey hey hey.

Mr. Scratch has got a bit about you in his files.
He'd like to help you help yourself.
Look around you all you see are eyes rolled to the sky.
Troll around the boards until you feel at home.

And here's to you, Mr. Coggins son.
Heathens love you more than you will know. Woah. Woah. Woah.
No God for us Mr. Coggins son.
Communists and socialists don't pray.
Hey hey hey. Hey hey hey.

Bile overflowing for the lefties with no soul.
And for those banging on 'bout the 'cupcakes'.
It's not much of a secret that the sixties are to blame.
Most of all you've got to guilt-trip all the kids.

Koo-koo-ka-choo, Mr. Coggins son.
Heathens love you more than you will know. Woah. Woah. Woah.
No God for us Mr. Coggins son.
Communists and socialists don't pray.
Hey hey hey. Hey hey hey.

Sitting at the monitor on a Sunday afternoon.
Looking for another fine 'debate'.
Laugh about it, shout about it.
Kick those commie fools.
Every way you look at this you lose.

Where have you gone, Mitty Romney-o
Our nation turns it's lonely eyes to you.
What's that you say Mr. Coggins son.
Mitty-boy is fading into grey.
Hey hey hey. Hey hey hey.

Who said anything about Hell (well, Quinn has made his peace with his homosexuality, but he's just in there because his name worked well)?

But, although this is all in fun, it is intended to push buttons, I'll admit that. Satire always is, and in this place, I find it an antidote to the real dense and heavy hatred, bigotry, and venom that squirts around here with abandon on a regular basis.

Duck and cover...

All right. I'll come up with a response, and I promise I won't be mean.

I kind of agree with ya there.
...hopefully nobody's gonna take mine too seriously either...!

For the record, I have nothing against Romney. He just went in nicely at the end...

Heh - nice. I'm quite pleased with that.
For effort or for achievement though?
