Earlier this month at the Mo' dog and pony show, the new first presidency held a press conference announcing the new LDS prez and his two side kicks.

They fielded questions from the media, or humored them.

Watch video here

It is around halfway through the entire clip.

Peggy asks if it is OK for members to disagree with positions that the leaders take with issues like the marriage amendment and remain in good standing. Monson says as long as it does not involve APOSTASY?? Then completely skirts the question with a bland answer of something about being ok to have their own feelings about politics...

Peggy then tried to ask specifics about the marriage amendment and was SHUT DOWN by Monson with "goo goo good to see you again!"

Well, she got her answer with the recent forced resignation of Peter and Mary Danzig.

Peter sent a letter to the editor of the SLTrib supporting the BYU professor, Jeffrey Nielsen, who was fired for arguing in a The Salt Lake Tribune column that the LDS Church was wrong to oppose gay marriage and to enlist Mormon support for a constitutional amendment against it.

So then, Peter who was a member in good standing, opposed the stance of the LDS leaders on issues like the marriage amendment. He and his wife both served missions, and both played for the LDS Orchestra at Temple Square, both good members with differing views on the marriage amendment that LDS Inc is pushing.

Barry Anderson, orchestra administrator, was informed by top LDS leadership that "an enemy had infiltrated the orchestra."

Recently being faced with a church court, Peter and his wife quickly resigned their membership.

Peggy has her answer. Read her 02/23 article here.

Is this a sign of things to come? Is Tommy the two fisted dictator, cleaning house?

The rest of you opposing jack Mormons on this board had better watch what you post here... as you are probably in the cross hairs of a Tommy gun.

He and his wife resigned before Mr Hinckley's death.
