After over 2 years, the wife is finally done with it.

Done with the church, that is.

Some of you know my story, which is pretty typical around these parts, so I won't repeat it. But anyhow, about 2 1/2 years after me 'leaving' the church, my wife is leaving also.

What did it? A few things, in my opinion. I never really talked about religion. I never looked to get into fights/arguments about the church. I even fully supported my wife over the last couple years. I went to sac. meeting. Let my son get baptized, etc. I never pushed any readings on her. But then what happened, is that she started telling friends, co-workers, etc. about me, and she soon realized that many people she knew, and thought were LDS, were just like me. And guess what? They were NORMAL! and fyi, we live in Utah County - the Mormon heartland.

Anyways, I guess curiosity finally got the best of her, and she researched online. She read bushman's RSR. She read palmer's 'insider's view'. She flipped through 'by his own hand upon papyrus'. She read FARMS.

It was like there was a barrier between her faith, and rational thinking. And one day, she peeked over the barrier, and by then, it was over.

She's still doing her calling for now. We're probably going to move in a few months, and that's when we'll make the official 'break'. But she has dropped the "Gs". Damn, it's like falling in love all over again - seeing my wife get in bed in nothing but panties and a tank top. Image

Thanks to everyone who's offered their words of wisdom over these last couple of years. You've truly helped me stay sane.

For those in similar situations as I was in, there's hope for you! My one big piece of advice: Back off, and let it play out.

It's always more persuasive and long lasting to win people over via attraction rather than promotion. This is awesome news, and I'm really happy for you!

Congratulations!

Wow, there may be hope for me yet.

Although my wife had always ditched the G's when I bought her Victoria's Secret.

Yay team Who Knows!

Although evidence will be needed that your wife dropped the G's. Video is preferable. High Def if you have time. Multiple angles...gravy. (Kidding kidding...I don't want to see your wife in the undergarments....not that she isn't a fox. I'm sure she is...oh hell.) ;)

I know that this is the middle kingdom, but the only thing that I think can be said is

F*****' A Dubbya K!!

Ho-friggin-ray!

Damn straight on the panties and tank top.. In my case, I don't think I shall ever tire of that!

Wait until she starts dressing like a woman! Distractions will abound at the WK household!

Seriously, well done. Enjoy your life, cuz now you two can.

Watch for a interview from your bishie..

It took my wife three years. When she hung up the chapel chaps the bishop call ME for an "interview".

He was amicable at first with "just tell me what you want me to do", to which I replied, "Just stay out of our lives".

He then got dirty and asked if we had any affiliation with a large Christian church across town and if we would join their anti Mormon front. "Do not talk to MY members about your knowledge", he commanded.

"Keep your MEMBERS off my family and I will not infect them with the truth", I shot back, "and no, we have no desire to join any other church and you would be the last person that we'd tell".

With that we agreed. I have not targeted any of his chapel sheep and so far he has kept them from crapping on my lawn. Fair enough!
