The "Adam-God" doctrine taught that Heavenly Father (a.k.a. Elohim) was actually the Biblical Adam. In other words, Adam, after having lived in the Garden of Eden, eventually achieved Eternal Exaltation and got to become a God. According to the "Adam-God" doctrine, Adam is, in fact, our God.

Something that TBM scholars are willing to concede Brigham Young probably DID teach. You need to read up on this subject before you imply such a denial.

In a somewhat different but related issue, Paul calls Jesus Christ the "Second Adam" in one of his epistles in the Bible.
