500 Days of Mister Scratch's Blog: A Retrospective

Just a little while after Mormon Discussions version ?.0 launched, the little known blog feature was put to use by Mister Phineas Scratch (affectionately known as Scratchy by some....does this start out sounding like an obituary?). In a short time he stirred up quite a hornets nest, and since then his blog has ebbed and flowed between bouts of dormancy and bouts of frenzied activity. Let's take a trip down memory lane and remember some of the episodes to come about due to that blog. . .
Number 5) Board wars! board wars! board wars! It seems that the wonderful profiles written for the blog ruffle a few feathers every now and again, and thus someone from MAD has disliked his profile, and usually a board war ensued. Well after the banning of the majority of the cross posting critics we haven't seen a board war in a while, but you never know what tomorrow holds...
Number 4) The Hall of Fame! Lesser known than the profiles (the most famous and beloved part of the blog), the Hall of Fame are Mister Scratch's personal gems from the archives of Mopologetics. Rumor has it there are many more to come...
Number 3) The whole team! As the blog has branched out into Hall of Fame, lists, profiles, ask Mister Scratch, and other fun features, other members of the team have popped up their heads and said hi. AF, Madame Fancher, Judge Boxmeister, The Webelo...Everyone has their favorite, who is yours?
Number 2) The profiles! His famous long running series of profiles chronicles the critics and apologists who make the Apologetic narrative great. 63 currently exist...how many more will come?
Number 1) Mr. Itchy's blog. A somewhat frightening occurance when a bunch of deep cover information was tossed out on various critics. To this day no one knows the whole story....and the whole thing will probably have bits and pieces in the Unsolved folders. But it's the issue everyone loves to hate, and thus Mr. Itchy will always be the numero uno nemesis of Scratchy.
Well...what does everyone think about the blog? Sucks? Rules? Needs a tune up?

Hello,
I think that Mister Scratch's blog is still going pretty good. I do think that the blog needs a little tune up to add in a couple of more Posters' Profile, such as Brackite. () Anyway, I have read a lot of Mister Scratch's blog, and it is pretty very informative about the current world of LDS Apologetics.

Though I highly disagree with it's overall assesment of 'mopologetics', I still think it rules.

Thanks for the tribute, Bond. I believe, however, that you are overlooking a critical highlight of the past several months: the Dossier of jskains. Perhaps this wasn't clear amidst the wreckage-strewn path blazed by jskains, but it was his dossier that set him off. He was apparently very upset at having his picture up, and at being called "googly-eyed" and "potato-faced." Not long after I posted the dossier, he began furiously PMing me, stating that he'd contacted his attorney, etc. After this, of course, he began making all sorts of utterly rank accusations, claiming his family was being threatened and so forth. Of course, this was completely false, and after he'd dug himself in further with even more lies (and sockpuppets) he eventually had to eat crow for all of it and issue a public apology.
Another sort of tangential blog thingamajig would be the self-imposed exile of Ray A. The poor guy's volatility really went into high gear after I posted "The Many Faces of Ray A."

Don't forget about my sincere offer to rebuke you. It is, of course, a standing offer; no expiration date. You can redeem it anytime. All you have to do is invite me to lunch some day. I'll even
pay for the privilege of rebuking you. At least the price of lunch, that is.

Okay, Will---thanks for the reminder. I realize that you are still sore about getting stung on the "Chozah" business, and that you still feel embarrassed about getting busted for falsely accusing Dan Vogel of inventing sources. So: I completely understand why you'd like to rebuke me. And hey: if it makes you feel better, then by all means, rebuke away!

Indeed. A Brackite profile would be almost as good as a CaliforniaKid profile. :-P

Oh jeez. Did you have to mention Squeak? He'll probably show up and claim that his grandma is being held hostage because of you or some other outlandish claim where he metaphorically throws a family member under the bus.
