Please Kemosabe Shades, can I have a threaded view?

Post by _Jersey Girl »

Dr. Shades,

I am writing to share the story of my great suffering with you. You see, I am from a posting background that had a threaded view option to the point where I find myself dependent on a threaded view option in order to engage in actual serious topical discussion as I am attempting to do in the Celestial Forum on the "Evidence for Jesus" thread.

I'm talking dead-dog serious topical discussion.

I understand that based on my often tangential, high spirited (okay, flaming) postings in the other forums that you might be under the impression that I am a stranger to dead-dog serious topical discussion.

That is not so! Rumors of my lack of intellect are unfounded! I deny them all!

Yet, I find my pathetic self in actual agony over my inability to function in dead-dog serious topical discussion in the Celestial Forum due to the lack of the threaded view option on which I rely to keep me on track.

I would like to know in terms of dollars and cents, how much it would cost to get a threaded view option on this board. I have written to keene via email prior to this plea of a post and he has not seen fit to reply to me.

Bottom line: Name your price! How much?

Please Kemosabe Shades, I need a threaded view.

Your humble servant,
Tonto Monkey Mod

p.s. If I can't get the threaded view option, could you just send me one of these cute little silver bullets so that I can end my own suffering?

Since Jersey Girl is making requests, I'll go ahead and put in my request for a Mod forum.

(I know better than to ask for smilies.) LOL

Love ya, Shades!

:)

Liz

P.S...If you want to give me temporary Admin status, I'll build the Mod Forum. Then you can de-mote me back to Mod status.

I am not making a request. I am whining, begging and pleading! Oh sure, build a Mod Forum. Like that costs anything! I'm willing to lay down dollars and cents to be released from my current torment! Or opt for the bullet. Whichever seems most cost effective!

I'm willing to contribute labor...that should count for something. For private computer consulting, I charge $50 per hour.

I have no clue. I'm not sure how PPhB sites work as far as options and pricing. Normally, they charge different prices for packages dependent on what options are available. One of the things we need to see is whether or not a threaded view is available with this type of site programming.

See, Shades? If we had a Mod forum, this type of boring conversation could go there. LOL

I don't think that my cry for intervention is boring! I need help and where is my fearless leader? My mentor? My Kemosabe?

The old Dos/Unix threaded views suck. I like the graphical linear model. Of course at Beliefnet, you can self configure your choice of the two or else choose a hybrid model.

With a Mod forum, you could solidify the Mod Squad. Whip them all into shape sort of like at MAD, with Shades playing the Juliann role, but without the rest of the bondage paraphernalia.

Like I said over PM, let me drop by Keene's place within the next day or two and I'll bring it up with him.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

A threaded view could make this place more like that RfM board, however that would be a minus rather than a plus.
