Joseph Smith dug up so many incredible artifacts, Indiana Jones would be envious. I'm wondering if there is any record of him finding some artifact that he determined was worthless, or just ordinay?

The scrolls of Michael Chandler weren't just common funeral scrolls, they were the writings of Abraham and Joseph. The Kinderhook plates weren't just some metal scraps with nonsense carved on them, they were the records of a descendant of Ham. Some bones dug up by the bank of a river weren't just some random indian bones, they were the bones of Zelph, a white Lamanite warrior and officer under the great prophet Onandagus. A rock he found while digging a well wasn't just a random rock, but a seer stone that could find buried treasure.

So did Joseph ever find anything that he determined was worthless, or not a big deal? So-called "experts" have determined that his findings were not as amazing as he thought they were, but did Joseph ever figure out on his own that anything he found was worthless? Is there any record from someone like Heber C. Kimball saying, "Brother Joseph dug up a fancy looking cup, and he determined that it was probably just a random cup, used by some Lamanite to drink out of."

Well, there's always all the Egyptian scrolls except the missing one. ;-)

Does the KEP pretty much peg that the Book of Abraham was translated, at least in part from the scrolls we have today?

Rumor has it he used to pull sticks. Maybe those sticks were unremarkable??

He reminds me of the weird neighbor kid we all knew growing up. He wanted to be like so much he would make up complete lies to try and win friends.

Given his deceitful manners and desire for the young girls, it would be interesting if the FBI profiled him.

When ol' Joe and youngin' Joe was out treasure diggin' I wonder how many of them thar holes were barren?

Don't forget about Joseph Smith finding the exact same stone Alter that Adam had built. I don't know which is more amazing, that it remained in tacked after all those centuries and after being buried in water durning the great flood, or that people are gullible enough to believe this crap.
