are we hard wired for truth?

Post by _karl61 »

I wish I was as could write like moniker or truth dance but in the same vein - are we hard wired for truth. If someone is able to say that far off the God of the underworld is angry because there is smoke in that area and everyone in the tribe believes that, but one person who is out hunting sees a lightning strike and watchs a fire start and realizes that it's not the God of the underworld but it's caused by a lighting strike, but can't rule out the God of the clouds. But the person now rules out the underworld God. (this just came to me) I think maybe truth becomes more apparent when you are able to rule out certain things and look at what remains. I would say that what remains is knowledge and truth.

edit in: I guess that the issue with the LDS church is that they limit information which is needed to obtain truth - they don't allow you to go hunting in certain areas; which can limit ones search for truth.
