What would the world look like if Joseph Smith wasn't born?

What would the world be like today if Joseph Smith was never born and the Mormon church never existed? I think the world would look pretty much the same and the past 200 years would've progressed basically the same way for the most part. The state of Utah would be different, and perhaps the western states would look a little different, but most people in the world don't care about Utah anyway. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Washington would've won the College Football National title in 1984.

Thousands more still trapped in Prison, the denizens of this board would have more spare time. I would not have been born (take that as a positive or a negative as you wish).

I don't think it would look much different either, What if Satan was Set Up. Maybe a few less knocks on the door.

More drug adiction and alcohol poisoning. Also, the planet would have not gained a good religion that sets certain standards for people to follow and a religion that allows for personal development.

In the end, the world would be worse off.

WHAT?

Look at the majority, if not all by numbers, all, of the world's population.

They have not heard anything about Mormon beliefs to hold it long enough to make any difference in their lives.

Mormonism holds no unique beliefs related to any of your points. NONE. You are doing a great job of looking like a complete ignorant fool with statements like that.

And to add to it all, you are not an active member, for what.. 30+ years?

without Mormonism the other religions of the world would've ended up with a few more members. There are lots of religions out there. If Mormonism was never started I'm sure some individual and family histories in Utah would have been altered for the worse, but at the same time you would not have Warren Jeffs and his crew. I have a hard time seeing how the world overall would be worse off. The Mormon church has been mostly irrelevant since the beginning.

We would not be seeing scores of abused children and pregnant girls being taken out of a compound in Texas; children of parents who are actually following the teachings of Joseph Smith.

If it weren't for government intervention, the polygamy legacy we see in Eldorado would be much greater than it is today. And, if it weren't for the brave women and men in Texas who care about children and are willing to do something to help them, the sick perversion would continue like it does in Utah.

So, if Joseph Smith had never been born, this whole sick practice would not have been born in our country.

(Feeling utterly sick right now as I reflect on the perversion and legacy that Joseph Smith started).

You have to be kidding. None of the morals were invented by Mormons, but they did introduce polygamy which is now causing so many problems.

As for the drug addiction thing, I think you should realize that Utah is one of the worst.

I guess you have heard about this "documentary: about drug addition in Utah:

The world might be better. One less cult and quite a few less ridiculous ideas (Eden in Missouri, fake meso american anthropology, peep stones, outer darkness, garments, modified masonry, baptism for dead people. etc.)
