I think what bought and paid for exmormonism and my decision to leave the church was my overall disgust with Mormonism.
There were too many factors that could make it not true. Too many holes in the logic and too little explanations for past words or deeds specific to the culture I was raised in forced my hand and I went to play cards with other people.
In the poll I am making a point of the often espoused Mormon view that if that one little thing changed in my life and not the church then I would come running back in order to be brought back into servitude.

Too many legs to stand on
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

Sometimes things are incomprehendable and if you think about... erm I don't know... topology and abstract maths. It is so very complex to someone that knows nothing or very little about it and somethings like quantum Physics can even be complex for even knowledgable people to fully comprehend and understand. One begins to stop trying to draw up a pictorial model and in the end uses maths to understand. If you think, God created all this and more. He created everything. (I do not believe God was once a man). I think God is everything combined in one. The ultimate and wholeness. Not a God that we can look to as being seperate from us, but until we understand the part of God within and around us, we cannot understand God as a whole. We cannot comprehend the wholeness and togetherness. Logic is no longer an aspect. We cannot make logic of everything so how can we make logic of God. Things in the world contradict as seperate beings but all in one and putting the pieces together would be real and right, but not seperate. We are so busy seperating things that we are stearing further and further away from truth. Look at the Greeks, they were not only knowledgable in one subject only, but infact were in several subjects, they believed subjects were one.
I don't think of the logic of the church. I think of what it does for me and if I feel going to several kinds of churches will benefit me, then that is what I shall do. However at the moment I feel church is not what I need at the moment. I want to get back in touch with my spiritual nature loving side, and I feel church is blocking that. I love nature so much and to me nature is far more truer than any man made thing including religion. A true allknowing God that created, and is, everything, wouldn't entrust man as human beings with little knowledge and understanding to bring about his church. Why would God need a church, surely being in buildings learning about how the church came about is taking one further away from God than being in nature and silently thinking about the marvelous creation that is around us. We should become closer to God by being close to HIS creations, not man's.
I think what I am trying to say is that man made things are there for our benefit, we use them whichever way would make our lives simpler, but by looking to man made things to bring about deeper understanding and faith is silly. We can only use them in the dimension they are in. I believe every religion to be true. I never understood why and I got trememdously confused because I believe things that contradict. But thinking or in such case not thinking about it, everything is as true as we make it. We can use things to our benefit, but if we are looking for truth then we must look towards something that has been here through it all. Something that exists without being organised by any other being.
I don't think I am making sense, so I will just leave it here.

Sure there can be more than 1 reason...
It could be that someone offended you, a desire to sin, you were too weak to live the covenants, etc.
