There is nothing worse than separating children from their parents. It is truly heart breaking to know how many children have been taken from their homes. The magnitude of the sorrow is overwhelming.

It is also heartbreaking to think of young girls being raped by a fifty year old men with thirty "wives", and teenage boys being thrown onto the streets, and fathers being sent away so another man can take his family, and women passed around as chattel.

The whole thing is just heart wrenching. I don't think there are any good answers, just several really sorrowful options.

:-(

yet the LDS members think that they are persecuted.....

Big difference!

I went to the above link, viewed a ton of still photos and then watched the first slide show "Happy Children". The children (guestimate ages 1-8 and infant/sibling indoor photos) did look happy, playing outdoors, natural kid smiles on their faces and healthy activities.

But they were playing/learning in gender divided groups.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6

There is at least one thing worse:
It is also heartbreaking to think of young girls being raped by a fifty year old men with thirty "wives"

That'd be worse.

The whole thing is just heart wrenching. I don't think there are any good answers, just several really sorrowful options.

Indeed.

They refused to transfer off the Joseph Smith train when it ran into mechanical difficulties at the Station.

Huh? I was reading that the state were looking for a girl that went missing and social services were taking the children away, but it doesn't make sense. It is all very strange.

Sorry. I was using an analogy.

These women all belong to the FLDS Church, which was essentially part of the (regular) LDS Church until about the 1940's, when all the people in the LDS Church who were practicing polygamy with approval prior to that time were suddenly excommunicated. So they formed their own church, which is patterned after how the LDS Church had been prior to that time. They dress pretty much the same way Mormon women used to dress decades ago, and don't cut their hair or wear makeup.

The children were all taken from the ranch because there was an anonymous call that there was abuse of a 16-year-old girl. The sheriff's department had also been working with an informant inside the ranch for the last four years. The state of Texas felt they had compelling evidence of abuse taking place inside the FLDS compound, including underage children being raped, so they took them all to sort it out.

You can read more about it at this website:
