Brook White was axed from A.I. last week.
My TBM sister-in-law said it was because she was being immodest on national TV.
Tsk, tsk, had she been wearing her garmies....

Brooke is a Mormon? That would make so much sense.
No wonder she gives me the willies. She was the most annoying person on the show this year, hands down.
(No, I don't think all Mormons are annoying, and they don't all give me the willies. It's just the ones like her that wear their "piety" on their sleeves and try to gain sympathy through tears that I think would be better off shot flying out the window of some jail - or at the very least, not on the TV in my living room).

It's hard to see her cuteness (if it indeed exists) behind all the pouting. She reminds me of a ventriloquist’s dummy, the way she extends her chin and raises her bottom lip all the time.
*shudder* Really glad she's gone. Carly did not deserve to go before Brooke did.

Could be. I've never seen the show and don't plan to.

Tell your sister in law she's full of crap...if you haven't already. ;)
Single women don't wear garments unless they have gone on missions. Everything she wore was fine.

Carly did not deserve to go, PERIOD! She was the best singer on the whole show! She should have won! I don't even want to watch American Idol, anymore...too depressing. LOL
Speaking as a voice teacher, I'll be the female Simon....I don't think that Brooke should have gone. She was not the worst singer last week. She has a solid voice and is very talented. Her hook is her ability to play the piano and guitar as well as sing. I think it's smart that they have more versatile performers this season in that way. I think she has a solid career in country music no matter what. She's no Carrie Underwood, but she is good.
Jason Castro's performance was terrible. (Simon said so, too.) He was flat half the time. His pitches were all over the place. But he has the teeny-bopper vote for being cute with dreadlocks.
Of those that are left, I would like to see Syesha and David Cook in the top 2.

Yeah, David Cook rocks. Is he better than Daughtry? What do you think?
I'm also glad Brook is gone. She was so, so, so fake and overeager with the judges before they could even finish their comments.
Judge:"Brook, that was just an awful performance."
Brook: "I know, it was really bad. I'm sorry."
Judge: "You need to sing with more conviction. Your notes are flat-"
Brook: "I was thinking the same thing while I was performing! Isn't it 'special' how we are on the same page?"
Judge: "I was not impressed with how you changed 'New York' for 'Arizona' in that last performance. I know it makes the song yours, but it stuck out like a sore thumb."
Brook: "You are so right! But Neil Diamond made me do it!"
David Archueletta is LDS as well, isn't he? He's from Murray.
(My wife makes me watch this show.)

What? Not even if they have been through the temple? Please explain more. This curious nevermo thought he had the garments thing sorted out, but evidently I am wrong.

Single women don't go through the temple unless they have gone on a mission, typically. My husband told me that now women can take out their own endowments if they are over 25 and temple-worthy. I was not previously aware of this.
Also, I wasn't aware she was married. If she was married in the temple, then yes, some of her costumes were not garment-appropriate.

I don't know that he is better than Daughtry, but he definitely has a career. I think that Daughtry is a little more polished. But Daughtry had been in the professional circuit before the show, so he had more experience.

Yes, he's LDS. From what I understand, his Dad is a complete ass.

It's OK to admit you watch "American Idol". I still think you're cool!
