The article is a masterpiece of doublespeak. Specimen:

But it probably has nothing to do with the Book of Mormon -- at least not directly.

Of course no-one thinks that the Cohen markers referred to in the study are from Book of Mormon style migrations:

Woodward says that most likely, when higher-resolution tests are used, we will learn that the Hebrew DNA in native populations can be traced to conquistadors whose ancestors intermarried with Jewish people in Spain or even more modern migrations.

But we don't get that until half way through the article. The rest you can imagine for yourself ...

I wonder if the AP has picked up on this? It's world-shaking enough to be distributed worldwide, isn't it?

So now we know that the Book of Mormon events took place in Colombia, Brazil, and/or Bolivia.

So much for the Limited Geography Theory.

So much for Mesoamerica.

This merely means that we will no longer have to sing about "The Goy from Ipanima".

I think this article will actually do some good (from the evil apostate perspective). It may open peoples eyes to the ludicrousness of the traditional hemispheric theory - and get the ole' cogs in the brain turning. In other words, it might be a 'wtf moment' for the lazy TBM (props to BC).

Because that's where the DNA was found.

The apologists could state that Lord Xenu touched down in Mesoamerica 500 years ago and reprogrammed all the jewish DNA out of America and the apologists would turn to it and say "SEE!!! IT IS plausible!!! you anti Mormons just can't grasp the intelectual basis of our findings".

There is no cog to turn, there is no possible falsification method, they will always be the way they are: retarded.
