Crockett made a gaffe and refuses to engage after looking like an uninformed boob.

But theres a caveat. A realistic outlook in a matter of speaking. I, the most run of the mill average Mormon out there am able to do something I never thought about doing in the first 20 years of my life, leaving the church.

I am just someone who read a little, made an honest evaluation of crockets character and from that asked those better at research than myself to please come to my aid. In other words, I lucked out by having someone call the quote to the attention of the board, it was misrepresented by crocket and I did what any honest person would do: I contemplated removing the quote from my sig based on the results of an honest request for clarification. Either bob did not count on the correct publishing date, misunderstood the labeling schema or, as I have asserted before, hes just a hack.

You got any brothers or nephews who served in Minnesota around 1999-2001? If so, the lameass frat boy wannabe was an ass as well. The name crocket stands for two democrat lawyers who were asshats.

The coincidence is just too much.

Hey Merc,

My experience was similar in that over and over I discovered the excuses given by apologists and the teachings taught by leaders, were just not true.

No, polygamy was not instigated to help the numerous women who didn't have husbands, no the Native Americans are not Lamanites, no the Book of Abraham was not written by the hand of Moses, no the promised land was not the Americas, saved for Lehi & Co., no the witnesses didn't actually see the plates with their physical eyes, no Joseph Smith couldn't translate Egyptian, no Joseph Smith he didn't translate the plates, no Joseph Smith was not an innocent humble man who went like a lamb to the slaughter, no Emma and Joseph didn't have a loving relationship, no Joseph Smith was not a faithful husband, no the temple ceremony was not restored from the days of Solomon, no prophets don't meet with Jesus in the Holy of Holies, no there was no Adam and Eve in Missouri 6,000 years ago, no God doesn't live on a sphere next to Kolob, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc....

It is difficult to believe a church filled with untruths, well at least for some.

Or maybe I should ask why have faith in a church that is filled with untruths?
