FAIR Conference

Is anyone going to this thing in August?

Brian Hauglid is going to talk on the Book of Abraham again.

I'm planning on going.
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

I suppose I could head out a little early for Sunstone, but it would mean shelling out that much more for accommodations. So probably not. I'm tempted, though, just to hear Hauglid's talk.

I just downloaded Gee's presentation from last year, by the way, so I'll eventually be posting on the subject of the missing papyrus equation. There will probably be some research involved first.

Why would you go if you do not have an expicit need to believe?

That is a long trip and wasted money for dart to travel from Brazil, just to listen to a bunch of rodeo err FARM clowns regurgitate plausibilities while they bend half truths into tapir shaped ballon animals.

This is nothing more than a mopologist ego building show for the better known mopplogists and their small band of wannabees and suck ups.

99% of the Mormon membership could not swallow the hunks of meat at this Fair and virtually 100% of the gentile world really don't care.

Well, I am actually in Atlanta at the moment, and I was curious if anyone else in that area would be going to make it worth my while. Meeting Brent Metcalfe or anyone else for lunch is an added incentive.

Atlanta, huh? Any plans to find yourself in NC? PM me if you are. We'll do lunch.

Will it be a regurgitation of what he said last time?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Do not rub it in!
I wouldn't miss any of it, if I were living in SLC.
They are prime time entertainment.

Do any of the critics attend the Wednesday night get-together that's open for all message boarders? Are the ex-FAIR board members allowed--or are they encouraged not to come? Just wondering if any of those who live in the Salt lake area and have been banned from Madb ever attend. I think that would make for a very interesting evening! Who knows...maybe it would lessen some of the animosity between the two boards if people could meet in person and socialize in a real life enviroment.

Daniel/Darin is talking about going to the Weds night get-together over on the MADB. He's also trying to participate in the clean-up and informal dinner Friday after it's over (he can't attend the day sessions b/c of work). Someone made the mistake of encouraging him to try to do the informal Friday dinners, but Juliann and Jan are trying their best to discourage him, essentially contradicting calmoriah's account of what happens on Friday nights to keep him away. It's actually a bit funny, but I feel sorry for Daniel.
