To whom would you grant the power? Closed on MADB.

Ok, this topic got closed on MADB, so I'll ask it here.
Assuming we got everyone to agree that God's Will should be enacted into law, and assuming, based on Mormonism's status as a very small minority in our population, that it would not be a Mormon who was chosen to determine what is God's Will, the question must be asked: to which non-Mormon would you, as a TBM, grant the power to determine what is God's Will and enact it into law?
Any of you TBMs know of any non-Mormons you'd trust to wield this power over you?
ps: I'd be much obliged if someone who is not banned over on MADB would restate the question in a new thread over there, so we can see it play out. I'm interested to see how it would evolve amongst the TBMs.

It's stupid that they banned you over this. I can see easier ways for a Mormon to answer this than banning you.
First of all, Mormons seem to believe that enacting righteousness (God's will) as law would be denying agency, akin to Satan's plan, so they need not accept your first assumption as anything but a setup.
Second of all, the theocracy you wish them to assume is not compatible with democratic principles, which Mormons hold in high regard. Therefor they cannot be expected to name anybody, of any religion, to legislate God's will.
There could have been an interesting debate about how Mormons reconcile the above defenses with their support for banning gay marriage, which is motivated by religious beliefs regarding "God's Will". I think you could have had a decent debate over on MADB, but the moderators banned you instead. It makes them look fearful and intolerant.

This question is substantially different from the one you posted at MADB. Over there, your question was this:
If anyone recognizes the shade of Christopher Hitchens in this question, good, because it's inspired by a similar question he asked in this speech on freedom of speech.
To those of you who are eager to see God's Will enacted into law, I ask: to which non-Mormon would you grant the power to decide, for all of us, what is God's Will, and enact it into law? Because, at maybe 1.5 or 2 million active Mormons in the United States out of over 300 million, based on principles of democratic representation, that person will most certainly not be LDS.
So, are there any non-Mormons whom you guys would feel comfortable entrusting with the power to enact God's Will, as they perceive it, into law that binds you?
So, at MADB YOU assumed that there were posters who were eager to see God's Will enacted into law. Here, you want US to assume that we want God's Will enacted into law.
But since I do not want to see God's Will enacted into law, your question becomes irrelevant to me.

That would be like fighting the Cold War all over again, only this time, it's the war in heaven. I do not agree that such should be enacted into law in the mortal world simply on those merits.

Sethbag was not banned because of that thread. He was banned because he used the H word. :D (And probably because he talked about LDS leadership in a mocking sorta way.)

It's not up to me to choose someone to declare God's will. It's up to God.
Sin should not be the concern of government, but of religion. Morality and ethics should be the concern of government in as much as it pertains to protecting property, freedom, and maybe safety. Incurring God's wrath doesn't count as a danger that the government should concern itself with.

For goodness sakes. Create a new user ID and go back to MADB. If it 's ok for Jesus to conceal his true identity (which he did on occasion), I don't see any problem with us doing it, unless you do it on a board where the moderator thinks it is a cardinal sin to create new identities after you've been banned. Cause then, if you get outed, you'll get whole threads created and pinned devoted to telling the world just how evil you are! :D

He said Hell? Yikes, our tender eyes have never read that before. What exactly did he say to mock LDS leadership?

I dunno. I didn't see it. I'm just spreading a rumor. :D
