Scandal! Infamy! Deception! Quelle Horreur!, The Church is Funding Mopologetics!
Look at his Benevolent deeds.
Is that you, who persecutes DCP, Mr. Scractch?
Drop your weapons, repent at once....

Lol. Yes, they are having quite the hug-fest over at MAD. As I noted in the other thread, this is a watershed moment in Mopologetic history. For years people have been under the (incorrect) impression that LDS apologetics is just its own little thing, with out any funding or supervision from the Church. Well, it just ain't true, partner. That particular myth has been completely shattered, and so it's no wonder that the MADites would feel the need for a sarcasm-drenched group hug.
Anyways, I think it is pretty interesting that DCP has coined this cute little "nickname" for me. I'm sure it makes his case far, far more persuasive.

Can you not access it? They find it such a big deal that they've pinned it (at DCP's request, I might add).

Yes, I can look for a pinned post. Thanks.

It seems terribly petty to pin it at the top. It only serves to play into Peterson's schtick of how vile and horrid he is. How juvenile and ridiculous.
And, based on the T&S comments from earlier in the week, a damned fine example of why FAIR wanted to distance itself from the board.
Such jackassery.

Yes, and you know----there have been multiple threads over there in which posters have posed the question, "What do the Brethren think of FARMS/FAIR?" I can't do a search for those, as the MADmods have made it impossible for non-hardcore members to use the search engine, but I seem to distinctly recall DCP trying to claim that the Brethren had *zero* involvement with Mopologetics. Well, clearly that's not true, as he has now admitted. It's high time that TBMs learned that the Church is paying money to defend itself against critics, and that the rank-and-file's tithing money is being used to do this.

Several years ago, Gordon B. Hinckley invited FARMS to become an official organ of BYU. So although the Brethren might indeed have zero input to the actual
text of Mopologetics, can it really be said that they have no
involvement with it?

After posting this thread late night over a couple of strong Jose Cuervos, I woke up to see slew of DCP responses in your original post.
This guy,DCP, might be a clown, but by no means we can label him as "Coward".
Having said so, I'd swallow really hard if he were my Ward Bishop, going to church Sunday after Sunday see his face. I thought being
a Bishop was a serious job (not reserved for Clowns).
You, Mr.Scratch & Gang, give him enough rope to hang himself on this shameless discussion Board.

As is his wont, Scratch misrepresents me in his paraphrase. This makes me an easier target.
