Jersey Girl is no longer a moderator

Normally I wouldn't dream of making such an announcement, but this thread has been created at the request of Jersey Girl herself. So here it is.

Although I'd prefer to not say any more on the subject, I'm pretty certain that some here will ask anyway. I'll keep it simple by quoting what I told her:

I'm afraid that the votes of "no confidence" in my InBox have reached critical mass. Rather than continuing to argue with them, I think it would be easier to gain goodwill if you merely were no longer a moderator.

Of course, she's still more than welcome to post here, just like everyone else:

Obviously your general membership would remain intact, it's just that you'd no longer have moderatorial powers is all.

I'd prefer if everyone just take this at face value and not ask me about all the PMs I've received regarding this issue over the months. I'd prefer to keep any and all such communications, especially the identities of all parties involved, private.

So there you have it.

Thanks for meeting my request, Shades and now I have another. I'd like you or any other member of this community to link me to any post on any thread where I failed to render any decision that was not in keeping with your policies regarding moderation on this board.

For those of you who are PMing me. Please post your comments on this thread as I much prefer to see you comment publicly.

Thanks,
Jersey

In a word: crap. :-(

Boaz, I trust your comment is aimed at those who felt it so necessary to complain, right?

I have never seen anything Jersey Girl did that was not in keeping with board rules, and think she did an excellent job moderating.

I truly do not understand the problem.

:-(

Jersey Girl, thanks for your time and effort to help the board and keep it running smoothly. I appreciate it a lot!

Hugs,

~dancer~

I think Jersey Girl kept within board rules as well. Personality conflicts, it happens.

Politics sucks, I don't agree with the ruling. Of course, I do not have all the details.

No it is aimed at everyone who takes this place too seriously.

Well, then, that would be those who felt it necessary to complain, then.

You damn right that I take this place seriously (maybe not too much).
But serious enough to stand up behind every word I write. (If I'm wrong, I don't mind to be corrected or called names &*@#$).
Jersey Chick was mostly invisible, which is the best way to moderate.
It is a thankless job, I wondered why should anyone volunteer a sucky job like this in the first place.

However I'd like to thank Jersey girl for the good job she's done.
