Introducing the hyper-platonic.

Post by _Tarski »

Inspired by Wade's comment on MA&D, I will now reveal a new level of reality that is not recognized by physicalists or even by spiritualists.
For physical things, you need physical evidence and for spiritual things one needs spiritual evidence (so says Wade).
Well, for hyper-platonic things one needs hyper-platonic evidence. What is hyper-platonic? If you have to ask then you are either a mere physicalist or a mere spiritualist. Those who are open and endowed with hyper-platonic faculties can be in contact with the hyper-platonic reality. (Of course it, is beyond words. Don't ask--you may as well ask me what salt tastes like!).

Just as robots are merely physical and cannot touch the spiritual, so the human spirit is merely spiritual and cannot touch the hyper-platonic.

Only beings that possess a "hyper-platonic dimension" can understand the hyper-platonic reality. It is not enough to be a physical or even a mere spiritual being. (Some of you are feelin' it already I imagine)

Oh, so that's what I am!

I always knew it was something; now I finally have a name for it.

Thanks!

I propose a univeral reality (asbestosman reality) which is the superset of all other realities including puny old hyper-platonic reality.

physical -> real numbers
spiritual -> complex numbers
hyper platonic -> surreal numbers (or maybe superreal or hyperreal).
asbestosman -> the universal set . . . I mean category . . . I mean as big as possible while being logically coherrent.

There, beat that. I win ;P

You are so above Wade now, Tarski. spirituality is so pointless without hyper-platonism to back it up. If Wade were right, life would be just a stupid bunch of spirit matter particles aimlessly bouncing around in space. But thanks to hyper-platonism, spiritual things can have meaning.I really feel sorry for Wade. Maybe I'll start a website on logical fallacies or gay sex metaphors? Like, you can't put a hotdog in a bun. Oh wait, I guess you can. Well, you can't put a hotdog in another hotdog then!

Tarski, we all know you're really really REALLY smart, and it's kind of mean of you to make us all look like the dolts that we are with your regular posts. It's just downright cruel to post something like this and then tell us to not even try and understand what you have just posted.

Scottie, you just need to unfold your antennae on each side, while simultaneously whispering, "I do believe in Tarski" over and over.

"I don't believe in Tarski!" Now, unless someone starts clapping Tarski should fall down dead. :)
