The shattered jar and its spilled contents represent the Book of Abraham, and inside that mop case is only a broom.

Any other interpretations?

Someone on MADB suggested that the broken jar represented a shattered testimony. The mopologist was there to sweep up the pieces.

Really, all they do is carry around the case. There is nothing inside.

My interpretation:

The shattered jar does indeed represent a destroyed testimony.

The mopologist has no intention of repairing the jar; in fact, that's an almost impossible proposition.

The only job of the mopologist is to clean the messy spill left by the shattered jar, so that no one else slips and shatters their jar as well.

Whatever the comic was intended to imply isn't the interesting part, the interesting part is the many ways people will interpret the comic. :)

Inside the case is a giant, accusing styrofoam finger. The job of the mopologist is to point it at the little boy so everyone knows why the jar is broken.

My interpretation:

Joseph Smith screwed underaged girls.
