Thanks for the board, Shades!

As I was visiting MAD today, I had composed a fairly mild post that detailed why some people see Joseph Smith as a con-man. My cursor hovered over the "Submit" button for a good 30 seconds while I contemplated if this was a ban-worthy post. Mild as it was, I decided not to post it for fear of inciting the wrath of the mods there.

It made me realize how glad I am to have a board where I don't have to wonder if any given post might be my last post.

Hell, this post my mark my last post at MAD...

So, even though I'd like to beat you sensless about the smilies, thanks for this board Shades!

Find a proxy server, make up a sock puppet, and do it for the lulz, man.

I really don't care enough to go to that much trouble.

You are both very, very welcome. I'm glad it's meeting your needs.

I don't agree with Shades on many, many things. One thing we do agree on is having an open board, with open discussions, and NO bannings. I do appreciate the freedom here, even when it incriminates me. I can live with that. I'm not about to declare Sainthood for Shades, in case I convey the wrong impression. But I do owe him an apology in one respect, and that is in my previous thread in which I horribly distorted some exchanges on ZLMB, in which I attributed comments to Shades which were not made by him. I am sorry for this, and admit I was wrong. I also apologise to Keene. And, no, I'm not saying this because I want to "remain" here, because I know that know matter how critical I am of either Keene, or Shades, they will never kick my sorry ass off the board. That is something I immensely respect. And this is something I haven't found on many Mormon forums. Or exmo forums.

I remember the MAD withdrawls both as Moksha and Severian, but there has to be a point when you ask yourself why you would want to be part of something that is not accepting enough to have you as a member. Shadesville is not discriminatory and that is good when the others will not accept you for your uniqueness.

Good points from down under :)

I wonder, which board would Christ sign up and participate in? MDB or the MA&D House?

I think it would be cool to have another celeb sign up. I wonder if he would do so anonymously?
