Congratulations to THE DUDE for achieving Godhood!
Sure enough, on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at exactly 10:49 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, our very own (and MA&D's very own) THE DUDE worked out his salvation (after all that he could do) and was crowned with his mantle of exaltation, yea, even Godhood!
Most of us know The Dude as the maker of many devastating points against our mopologetic friends, but it ought to be remembered that he totally skewered David whatshisname over the Lamanite/DNA issue in the Pundits' forum at MA&D. The mopologists had dredged up a champion for this issue--like they periodically dredge up a champion for the Book of Abraham--and The Dude mopped the floors with him just like Brent Metcalfe always mops the floors with the Book of Abraham champion du jour.
As is our tradition, if anyone has anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy to say about The Dude, now is the time and this is the place to do so.
The Dude abides!
(By the way, did we give LifeOnaPlate his proper recognition?)

I'm a god, eh? I guess if a heathen dirt-bag like me can reach godliness, it belies what my mother used to say about cleanliness... (being next to godliness).
DNA & The Book of Mormon And Its Peoples, The Dude and David Stewart
Shame, shame... the LDS Church newsroom still links to FAIR's version of his pseudoscientific article on Native American genetics, giving the false impression that Joseph Smith's hemispheric view of Book of Mormon civilization is scientifically supported. If anyone thinks a man as seemingly erudite as David Stewart couldn't be a crank, just take a look at his championing of "Atlantis in Antarctica" theory : Antlantis in History, Tradition, and Scripture
Thanks for the honor Dr. Shades, and Silentkid, and Truthdancer (no, I didn't know you were a fan of me), and Bokovoy, and Seth, and Moniker, and Thama. This ain't a bad place for me to abide.
