I understand he is. On the otherhand it is common for some large entities (like our Internal Revenue Department) to have 'fake' letter signatures. And the name chosen can be coded as well. So if you ring up and ask for 'John Black', the person on the other end knows you are a difficult customer (or whatever the code means)
Maybe Greg Dodge is the code for "assigned to outer darkness' or somesuch.
Why, You want to have his job?

The guy is probably is sick receiving thousands of whiney resignation letters.
I have a hunch he's one of the highest salaried employee.
Who'd be willing to replace him anyways.

I spoke directly with someone who identified himself as Greg Dodge when I called his office with questions regarding resigning. I was living outside the U.S. at the time and had no idea where my records were. He was quite helpful in explaining what I needed to do. I followed his directions and it worked like a charm.
Thanks Greg, if you by chance are reading this. :)
I also heard, though don't know whether it is true or not, that some ex-mormons took a gift to him at the COB. I don't remember if they got all the way to his office or not. Funny story, anyway.
for what it's worth
