How Many Here Would Vote For The Following candidates,

Post by _Droopy »

How Many Here Would Vote For The Following candidates, were they to run for office this political season, and if LDS, what theological justification could you give for doing so?

Reagan will not be running since he is dead. Besides, the electorate already decided against an LDS candidate. Reagan couldn't get elected today. Apparently, he is now LDS.

LOL!

Since, on Droopy's poll, dead folks are options as political candidates, I think I'll write in Ann Richards, former governor of Texas.

I'm betting she ain't no Mormon now, either. Dead-dunked or no, Ann knows how the cow ate the cabbage.

Reagan might have fallen for the message of the missionaries from Paradise, but Ann's savvy. I'm thinking she's savvy enough to know when it comes to Mormonism, "That old dog don't hunt."

I'd vote for a Zombie Reagan/ Zombie Gold Water ticket... Show the GOP what real conservativism is, and failing that they could always eat their brains. Om nom nom..

Because once upon a time in the Republican Party...

Indeed. At least Bush did the right thing in Iraq and Afghanistan, though only half-heartedly. He's failed to do anything about illegal immigration. He's bowed to the left on education. It took severe chastisement from conservatives to nominate the right Supreme Court Justice. etc. But....he's still better than any Democrat president (or potential president) in the last century.

Wow... you'll admit to anything.

Just when I thought you couldn't have any less credibility, you post the above. How funny.

Carter by a country mile.

That was the last honest person to hold the office. Not coincidentally, Washington didn't like him one little bit.

Well I would vote for Reagan if he were alive. I did twice. He is one of my political heroes.
