I would love the honour of sharing the news that of all the threads ever posted on MormonDiscussions.com Shady Acres Jukebox is the first thread to Achieve 1000 posts as far as I am aware. And thus the first thread in MD to recieve recognition for it's endurance for exactly 1 year minus about 4 days. And will most likely endure many years to come as it has great use and potential, perhaps as long as this forum lasts.

Congrats to Shady Acre's Jukebox!!!!!!!!!!

The day Gaz plugged in the Jukebox, was the best thing ever done for this community! Nowhere else on this board do all the posters, regardless of worldview, gather in a spirit of goodwill and the common ground that is music. He plugged it in and together we exalted it.

Thanks, Gaz, for giving us a place to share our love of music!

So let it be written.
So let us rock!

Dammit, JonasS, I told you not to do this! As I said, only humans can be deified, not threads.

Since you are the God of all who have achieved Godhood, I think a better response might be, "Goddammit JonasS!"

Oh but you are God, so is it correct for you to say your own name/title?

'Course, if you are the egomaniac that Elohim is, you will use your name/title when damning people.

Dammit? Is there some reason you can't lighten up? You told her not to do this? I encouraged her to do it and she did. She can deify any damn thing she wants on this board. It's not an official moderator announcement, it's acknowleging a successful thread.

Gawd, I'm arguing about exaltation on a message board.

Omg, here I go. This is a positive thread. Considering some of the criticisms leveled at this board and it's posters recently, I should think a positive thread celebrating someting positive would be a good thing.

What is the deal?

You know we don't really turn into gods, right?

I am "lightened up." If I meant it in a truly malicious way, I wouldn't have purposefully misspelled "damn it."

You told her not to do this? I encouraged her to do it and she did.

DON'T ENCOURAGE HER!!

She can deify any damn thing she wants on this board.

True, but if mere threads can be praised to the same extent that posters are, then it sort of lessens the "kudos" value to the posters themselves.

No one put a gun to your head. :-)

Yes, but let's have it be about something that matters a little more.

What is the deal?

That's the deal.

No, I don't know that. Are you implying otherwise?

Hmm... What's wrong with encouraging me? Coming from the person that tells me to never change. If you feel praising a thread makes you feel lesser of a person then that's your problem. I don't see the problem, assumed the whole Godhood was a bit of fun. Why take it serious?

Should we tak it to the vote, I mean we are all equals here and every post is valuable in some way or another and I am firm in my belief that Shady Acres Jukebox deserves recognition and what better way than in the way all has recieved recognition for such achievements? Just because it isn't a person doesn't mean it should be brought to the peoples attention. And one could even go as far to say that some of those who achieve Godhood can barely be considered persons themselves.
