The fruits of summer

My ward Relief Society has a thing called the Ward Free For All. It's an email list (the shadow of the skinny list will no doubt haunt us now) where anyone can post stuff they want to give away or sell.
Today on the FFA, we have excess zucchini, greens beans, and beets from people who are exceptional gardeners free to those of us who are limited in time or motivation to garden. It's a nice thing to see when sometimes I'm a little jaded about the church (like yesterday, when I found out Elder Oakes bailed on our stake conference next week... like that was any surprise. I knew we weren't important enough to have an apostle visit us).
So... I want to go on record that I'm pleased to be part of the Ward Free For All. And I love summer food (corn on the cob straight from the field is as close to heaven as I'm likely to get)!
