Embedded Quotes - clarification?

Ha. I only just figured out, barely, how to quote from another post and now the software has changed. Now I'm really confused. I keep getting a message that I can only use two embedded quotes in one post.
What does that mean exactly? Are there instructions/explanations anywhere? I am ending up just doing quotes manually, as I did before when I didn't know how to do it properly. It is time-consuming. I will have to resort to the old stand-by of just using quotation marks. :/
I am not aware that I am doing double embeds - or whatever that message means. How do people write a mile long post with 27 quotes in it?
Is it sacred or secret or can you share the knowledge with me? Thanks if so.

THOSE ARE EMBEDDED QUOTES. SHADES REFERS TO THEM AS QUOTE VORTEXES.
THE SYSTEM STOPPED ME ON THIS ATTEMPT TO QUOTE FROM THE PREVIOUS POST WHERE THE VORTEX STARTED TO FORM.

I CAN STILL DO THIS:
Jersey Girl wrote:THOSE ARE EMBEDDED QUOTES. SHADES REFERS TO THEM AS QUOTE VORTEXES.
IN THE SAME POST.
THE SYSTEM STOPPED ME ON THIS ATTEMPT TO QUOTE FROM THE PREVIOUS POST WHERE THE VORTEX STARTED TO FORM.
WHEN IT SAYS TWO IN ONE, IT MEANS TWO BOXES...ONE BOX INSIDE OF THE OTHER.

THE SYSTEM STOPPED MY ATTEMPT TO COPY THE ABOVE TO CREATE A NEW POST. ONE SET OF BOXES IS INSIDE OF THE OTHER BOX.
THINK OF IT AS TWO LAYERS OF QUOTES ALLOWED.

Thanks for trying to explain it. I sort of get it. But I still don't know how I got two boxes when that wasn't what I intended. And why does it stop you from quoting what you want? And how do you quote more than one person in the same post?
The only thing I've been able to figure out is to go to one post and click on "quote" and then that's the only quote I can display. How do I get a second quote from another source on the same thread? And where are the double quotes coming from?
How does DCP dissect a long post, quote multiple people and respond to each line?
I can do that "manually" but it is sooooooooooooooooooooo time consuming.
Yeah, NG is not a computer brainiac.

LET ME SHOW YOU AGAIN BEFORE I ANSWER WHAT YOU ASKED. I'M USING THE "QUOTE" AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR POST TO COPY THE WHOLE POST.

NOW I'M USING THE "QUOTE" AT THE BOTTOM OF MY OWN POST TO QUOTE BOTH OF US. THIS WILL CREATE A BOX INSIDE OF A BOX. IT WON'T LET ME DO IT A THIRD TIME.
