No, they can't. Faith and obedience (i.e. keeping your covenants by wearing them) can and usually will.

You mean by avoiding accidents altogether?

Possibly, or lessening the severity of accidents. Either God divinely intervenes and causes a physical change to prevent or mitigate harm or he designs the Universe differently in the beginning in response to your obedience and then you benefit as some events are avoided.

What if the Roadrunner drops an anvil on my head?

Will faith and obedience coupled with the garments do anything for that? Or should I just keep my sign handy?

GoodK, the Roadrunner doesn't drop anvils on the Coyote. The Coyote always tries to get the Roadrunner with it and screws up. This is akin to the scriptures that talk about digging pits for others and then falling in yourself. False analogy.

No, but a giant Nephite warrior will get your back, and only the righteous can see him.

Isn't it great? Isn't it marvelous?

Can Mormon garments protect from physical harm? No, they can't.

But, the added pounds Mormons gain from eating too many funeral potatoes and ground beef/tater tot casseroles protect them from starvation on Fast Sunday.

Also, Mormon Standard Time (always thirty minutes late), protects Latter-day Saints from heavy traffic going to and from work.

With a big wink ;),

So you're saying the Roadrunner wears garments?
