Dear Everyone:

This is just a heads-up on how Private Messaging works under this new system.

The old system, as you'll recall, notified you of a new Private Message waiting for you in your InBox by posting a large notification at the top of each forum or thread.

Nowadays, however, the default (I believe) is to give you a pop-up message whenever you have a new Private Message. HOWEVER, many of you probably have some sort of "Pop-up blocker" running. That'll make it impossible to notify you of a new PM.

THEREFORE, please be sure to periodically look in the upper-left corner of your browser window. Right under the "Home" link, you'll see a "# new messages" link, where "#" is the number of messages waiting for you, of course. If you see anything other than 0, click on it to see your private messages.

Hopefully, if you periodically look at the upper-left corner of your browser window, you won't miss any of your private messages.

Now back to your regularly-scheduled programming.

What about just ticking "yes" to email notification?

I get so few PM's, I'm totally shocked when something lands in my Inbox.

So I expect my 0 to rarely change.

Ray! Someone essentially said the same thing about YOU in conversation with me not long ago. Definitely a compliment!

No that was not a compliment Jersey Girl it was an insult which means no one pm's you because no one likes you and even if they did like you why would anyone want or need to pm you..do you get it now or not????

Dear SUAS,

It seems to me that in the last, oh I dunno, week to ten days or so, you've gone out of your way to get my attention. Having reflected on this for a full 3 seconds, I decided that it's time I told you the truth.

SUAS, while I understand your fascination with me and attraction to me, I have to be honest and tell you that there is no future for us as a couple. I am not writing this in an effort to hurt your feelings, for I understand how strongly you are attracted to me. Isn't everyone? Alas, it is the cross that I bear.

It would be less than honest of me not to allow you to make informed choices as to which woman you choose to pursue on this message board.

The sad news, at least for you, SUAS, is that I am not only straight but I am married as well. So, you see, SUAS, there is simply no hope of a relationship between the two of us.

I encourage you to move forward and rebuild your life. Surely, if you make an effort to carefully examine and/or scour the board, you will find some other woman more to your liking and interest for I cannot ever be your little love bunny.
