Given these two statements issues by the good Bishop Peterson, one must wonder about his mental state?
I care very much about the people I serve, and I like them. -Bishop Daniel "Jekyll" Peterson 08/26/08

Must kill Scartch. Blood. Violence. Delicious brutality. Guns. Knives. Bombs. Beautiful! Vengeance! Revenge! What lovely images.Must repress them. Mustn't let anybody know. But they're so pleasant! -Bishop Daniel "Jekyll" Peterson 08/28/08

Had anyone made this kind of death threat towards Daniel on yonder board, you can bet he and his posse would have gone MA&D as many would take it seriously.

Dan, I am worried about your mental state and being in charge of a ward. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GET SOME MENTAL HELP.

For harmony's sake, I want to say that I agree with you, and that I see enormous value in your important contribution.

Yes, I agree that he ought to cut it out with the death threats. It would only take one letter to the IRS to point out that the money declared to have been paid to him for his "FARMS Chair" work wasn't actually paid to him at all. Instead, it was siphoned back into BYU. (According to Peterson, anyhow.)

Excellent points. I should be quaking at this very moment in sheer terror of an IRS investigation, and no doubt I am.

Thanks, again, for your lengthy record of important and substantive contributions to Mormon studies.

For the sake of harmony, I agree with everything you've said here, and I appreciate your insights.

Application of any new behavior should be approached with caution, in case one is inclined to overdo it. Moderation in all things.

Some days, it's like trying to talk to a particularly stubborn non-English speaking teenager. On the one hand is a language issue, on the other is a maturity issue. At no point can one ever be sure one's message penetrated such an exceedingly hard head.

Back to the chocolate syrup and whipped cream, I guess. It's as likely as the one where Daniel actually ceases his caricatures, accepts a valid suggestion, and shows some good judgment. Now where should I put this maraschino cherry?

I stopped expecting maturity from Danny boy a few years ago. It would seem his unjustified ego is more important to him than his own personal growth.

*shrugs shoulders*

You just can't tell a person to grow up. They have to first see that they need to, and then want to do it.

The Peter Pan principle? I'd like to think he's beyond that, but the current situation supports your premise more than mine.

*sigh*

You really cannot be this dumb now can you? Do do anything with finances or accounting? I guess not based on your silliness on this particular issue.

I thought I'd bring you some rare footage of DCP preparing to 'deal' with Scratch.

Am I doing this incorrectly, harmony?

I do so want to get it right.

I thought I understood you to be saying that it was scandalous, on an internet message board, for me to hold opinions and to defend them, or, at least, to hold too many opinions that I think are correct and am willing to defend.

Is that wrong?

Is my error to hold to too many opinions that you think are incorrect and should not be defended?

If so, could you please indicate to me, either on the board itself or by PM, which opinions I need to jettison and which criticisms I need to accept? I will, needless to say, accept your dictation in these matters on this board.

In the meantime, I shall endeavor to be less predictable.
