I want to be a moderator also....cause it looks like fun

I will promise to not call anyone a name unless I call you a nitwit

I will try to be bipartisan in what gets moved for temple content

Also I will try and be more profound with my posts

Being a Moderator is not a position which is achieved through votes.

If you are interested in helping out, PM Shades, and see if he needs some extra help.

If you are interested in being an effective Mod for this board, or another board like it, you do need to be familiar with PphBB software so you can effectively help split threads, etc.

I tried this once except I made campaign promises. I promised to bring in an orgy of violence and destruction and end the board in a kind of cyber-Armageddon. I also promised to campaign for smilies. I got a few votes but Shades did not see the wisdom in appointing me.

I think it brings about a sense of empowerment to be given such a role and that is why some people desire it. However, if one had greater achievements in life they would not care for a position as such. Hehe.

But for threads sake, if there were and election to become a moderator, I think there ought to be some qualities required. Such as, knowing the board well, thus it woul;d be appropriate that the person standing for election would have had a certain amount of experience with the board.

But, if I were standing for election, I would request,

Nehor has a forum all to himself where he can inflict as much destruction as he desires and those who wish not to participate may not enter. I would suggest also that we be allowed to have a holy Ghost and angels and our own saviour when exaltation occurs. Who do as we say. Hehe.

I would do as I am told by those whom are greater than me as that is the role of the job hehe. I would consign a forum for complete randomness and make people visit it at least once a week because they may find some insight within.

I would eat pop corn and get bits stuck between my teeth.

I would be fair with respect to my own standards. I would become high and mighty thinking I know it all when actually I know nothig and I am running out of things to say, but at least all those who know me will know that I am overtly honest with a few extras thrown in and so can trust me. Hehe

I'm not sure moderator is even the right word to describe what we do. We don't really moderate anything. Janitor might better describe us, as we mostly just keep the place tidy.
