I promised this link for Gad, but decided to make it more prominent for any interested in reading in Quinn's own words why he's a believer.

Thanks Ray. I'll admit I was a little surprised at the depth of Quinn's testimony. He sounds like your typical TBM. Definitely a complex man and I can't even begin to understand him. Apparently the leadership of the church didn't either and assumed the worst of him as well as the apologists.

I suspect their vision was clogged by fear.

Blessed to be an apostle? Sounds like a classic case of megalomania to me.

So... what's he doing now? I hope he's not pulling a lumberjack. That would be just too sad.

A while ago, there was a link to plea for donations in his wikipedia article. However, it disappeared soon after I mentioned it (here I believe). Hmmmmm........

I always wondered what sort of testimony he had as well. I knew before the publication of this article that he had pretty firm beliefs, but at the beginning of the article he makes it quite clear and I was left with no doubt about where he stood.
I hadn't read it since my original reading not long after it was published, and I had forgotten some of the content. You're right on two counts, it does sound very "TBM", and he's a complex man.

This You Tube video is of poor quality, but it will give you an insight into Quinn's thoughts ten years after excommunication (2003).
