Remember this from ZLMB 2004?

From someone named Thomas Gibson (Web Cite):
2002 08 31.2 The Lord says: George Bush shall not leave his office before the end of his second term, but rather shall be killed before that time.

2004 11 20.1 Then, Bush will drag the U.S. into a situation that will enable China and Russia to attack. When all this is done according to My plan, judgment will become fierce upon fierce. So says the Lord.

Greg Olson clarified for us back on ZLMB (Web Cite):
The facts today in the world, and the events that have occured since 911, are leading to exactly what was written by Thomas Gibson. The dates given by Thomas Gibson during the 1990s for the war is between 2006 and 2010. Had Bush not been re-elected in 2004, then the Lord would have deferred the war until 2008. That is, Bush would have been re-elected in 2008, and the war would have been between 2008 and 2010. As it happened, Bush was re-elected, so the war will be sometime before 2008.

...

For those who may not be aware of who I am, I posted four different prophetic experiences on this board during May/June 2001, a few months before 9/11, and then, left the board in December 2001. This year, 2004, I started posting the prophecies of others, seeking to encourage each person to get right with God. That's my only purpose. I wish not to argue with anyone.

Charles Pyle said he was going to store the prophecies I gave in 2001 in the Zion's Lighthouse files to confirm whether they come true or not in the future.

I stated that the LDS Church is going to be significantly changed by the war. I saw an accident site. A truck had smashed into a car. In vision above the car I saw "LDS CHURCH". Above the truck I saw "WAR". (The words might be a little different from what I originallyl wrote, but that is the general idea.)

In addition, I was given the exact numbers regarding the size of deaths. 100 million Americans will die. 50 million in one day. The other 50 million will die through the rest of the war. I said WWIII (meaning in terms of nuclear devestation) would begin during the Bush administration.

If these things do not happen, then I'm a false prophet, according to scripture. If they do happen, well, you can then make your own conclusions later.

Four months left for Bush to die in office and WWIII to start. I wonder if the people who wrote these things are starting to get nervous.

Not even a little. This was the last I'd heard of him, and no one has directly contacted me for years and years. I met him once in real life during my first semester at BYU back in 2001.

Last I heard of Greg, he'd returned to Stan's camp again. He mentioned several times getting re-married, but has been incredibly vague on details, which made me wonder if he'd picked up Stan's polygamy practices or something. I honestly know nothing about him now or what he's doing.

Well, there is always an attack on Iran. Their military staff is currently engaged in debating over whether or not to respond to such an attack by attacking Israel and the Gulf states.

There is also Georgia in the which NATO is currently planning a rapid reaction force to that nation in case Russia attacks again. They might certainly try to do so under the cover of a Gulf war flare-up.

There is always China looking to subdue Taiwan unto itself any time it perceives the US in a position where it would be unable to respond.

You've got subtle goings on in Latin and South America (right on our doorstep) under the auspices of Russia and China.

So you see, WWIII could get going at any moment under the right conditions though I do believe it unlikely.

As for GWB, if he dies, Cheney will be our Prez. I hope he asks Karl Rove to be VP. Those two would be better than McCain/Palin and obviously better than any Democrat so no worries there.

LOL That's funny how Greg has visions of objects with word-clues around them to tell him what they're supposed to represent, kind of like political cartoons. Did he do that a lot?

It could "get going," but 50 million Americans dying due to nuclear devastation at the hands of China and Russia in one day? That's pretty darn specific, and I don't see it happening by January 20, 2009.

But four months of Cheney/Rove Derangement Syndrome could never possibly hope to be as entertaining as four years of Palin Derangement Syndrome. *crosses fingers*

You have no idea. I'd post more recollections of the prophecies he had and the things he gleaned as messages from God, but it just feels mean.

by the way, I should probably mention that neither of these people is (to my knowledge) LDS. Greg Olson was ex-Mormon and I don't know anything about Gibson.

Yeah, I remember Greg. What I think is more hilarious than anything Greg did is the apologists that love the opportunity to disagree with folks like Greg in a transparent effort to make themselves look more reasonable. To look like they are scientifically informed and educated "believers". Well, it may be true that some of these apologists are themselves less nutty than Greg, but, their founding prophet, Joseph Smith, was coming up with BS off the cuff all the time just like Greg was. Fortunately they have a hundred + years between themselves and Joseph Smith to confuse the issues with and plenty of inventive people since his time trying to come up with ways to get Joseph Smith off the hook for the downright boneheaded prophecies and revelations he came up with.

Yep, poor Greg, he doesn't have a dedicated fundraiser to solicit millions of dollars from his backers in order to give his revelations the professional work over to make him sound believable.
