How low will Mormon.org stoop? Have they no shame?

I was overlooking the new and improved Mormon.org site this evening and began reviewing the plethora of "member stories" video clips.

I watch a few and happened upon "Sandy's Conversion Story" and her next one, " Adversity".

She claims that her husband was killed in attack on the World Trade Center.

"...he called me to tell me that a plane had hit the first tower, then I watched on TV as the second plane hit..." What did she do? "...fell to the floor and prayed to know if Heavenly FatherĀ® was there and if he could hear me...."

In her second video "Adversity" she claims she never had any real faith before, and suddenly when she sees 9/11 unfold on the TV, she gets down on her knees and prays just like a Mormon?

I am calling B***S*** on this one. She is a paid actress.

Her on screen persona is waay too predictable and scripted.

All of the pauses are at the right place and she uses plenty of Mormon speak.

Then at the end of the video it shows her in her home, absent of a husband, with five kids, one who appears to be 2 years old(being fed in a high chair)... Her husband dies, 9/11/01 and 7 years later she has a 2 year old??

And the narrator says she joined in December of 2002, a full 15 months AFTER her life changing prayer???

HORSE CAH CAAAH.

It gets even better in the second clip, "Adversity", where she says god killed her husband in the attacks TO TEST HER.

My good goddamn, Bravo Mor[m]on Inc for reaching a new low. Try and use the tragedy of 9/11 in a shameless attempt to sucker new fools.

Then again, why would I expect a corporation that cannot seem to get it's own story straight let alone this facade of Sandy???

It's only offensive if you assume she made it up. As I see it your evidence for this is that she's LDS. Bravo for bigotry.

I'll toy with this one for a while until he/she ceases to amuse me.

Actually, with a fifteen credit load at university this semester, I've little time for message boards.

Thank heavens for universities.

How does that make sense? God killed/allowed her husband to die only as a test to her? So if she hadn't needed that particular test at that time, her husband could have lived? That's really weird. I can understand the desire to impart meaning to apparently meaningless events, but sometimes we get a little to imaginative.

LOL!! The casting director really screwed up on that one!

In that case, she ought to consider herself lucky that SHE was the one needing to be tested, and not her husband!

Oh the screw ups by the dimwit casting director gets better! The clip "Death Is Not Also a Bill of Divorce" video shows a woman blathering on about eternal marriage is better than the death due us part of civil marriages..

Kyle, her husband sits very tensely next to her and never says a word. At first I wondered if he was a non member.

She blathers on about when SHE, not us(as in her and her hubby Kyle), took the discussions that blah blah heavenly father wants us to be together blah blah...

SURE ENOUGH! At the end of the clip the nauseous narrator announces that Tammy
was baptized in to the CoJCoLDS in March of 2001. NO MENTION of Kyle getting dunked, nor he being a member before and the two of them getting sealed.

Sounds like the typical convert. A wife, whose non member husband allows her to join the LDS cult, but never joins himself.

Yeah, LDS is all about keeping families together! How long before Kyle gets feed up with his wife and kids bawling about him not being part of their eternal family b***s*** and divorces the crazy woman?

She's kinda cute.. The poor husband ought to be glad this was not 100 years ago.. she would have been scooped up by Breenum Young as his 86th wife..

Think about poor Job. He got his whole family ripped from him as a test.

The idea that God's plan might have been planned around both of them never occurred to you?
