Mormons told to avoid faith-related arguments

You can read it here

Does this mean that MAD will be disbanded?

"More regrettable than the [LDS] Church being accused of not being Christian is when church members react to such accusations in an un-Christlike way," Apostle Robert D. Hales said on the second day of the two-day conference. "Surely our Heavenly Father is saddened - and the devil laughs - when we contentiously debate doctrinal differences with our Christian neighbors."

Apostle M. Russell Ballard said in the last few decades the LDS Church had experienced "unprecedented ideological attacks on our people, our history, and our doctrine through the media."

An excellent talk. Perhaps my favorite of all sessions.

It's the internet, baby.

Will MAD disband??? Doubtful. And, frankly, the only way some of those folks can refrain from mean and spiteful behavior is to not talk to critics at all. Of course, with their banning policy, they are well on their way to that condition.

Um, sunstoned, Ballard is a Chapel Mormon. Internet Mormons don't believe his "opinions" mean anything.

I certainly believe his conference talk was true, correct, and right.

Perhaps we should go over the various examples of Christ responding (or not) to antagonists. He certainly didn't get contentious with anyone, but he certainly put some of them in their place. While I'm quite familiar with the aspect being spoken of in the talk, whenever someone uses the term "Christlike" there is usually more than one aspect to take into account.

The funny thing, Gad, is that, while your comment is obviously a spoof, real Scartcholeptics actually think what you said is true.

Really. I'm not making this up.

So with a broad brush, Hale painted all pro Mormon defenders as tools of satan!

Bravo Dannny and your group of wannabee suck ups! You all have done more to reveal the truth about Mormonism, save satan himself!

How so? He used the term "unChristlike". Are you familiar with the Biblical descriptions of how Christ handled these situations? Do you know the difference between the Pharisess, the Sadducees, and the regular man on the street?
