I tend to think Mormons are a little more pragmatic, and in some cases skeptical when it comes to claims being made outside the Church. Is this the case?

I don't know about Mormons, but I wouldn't say it's been shown that manmade global warming is a hoax. I'm not sure it can really be proven one way or the other.

You might say I'm a global warming agnostic.

I think that if I wanted to read a bunch of reactionary political tripe, I'd be reading a different message board.

This Mormon accepts, as science does, that there is global warming but not as much as the left makes it out to be and is very skeptical of the claims that humans cause the majority of it.

Non left wing Mormons do tend to be a little more pragmatic and educated except when it comes to multi-level marketing schemes.

I think there's been a general cooling trend over the last two to three years. I'm surprised so many people, to include the Mormons that post on this site, have bought off on the notion that humans contribute in any significant manner to global warming. They idea that human Carbon output, at something like .000068% to the carbon totality of our atmosphere is contributing to global warming is seriously misguided.

I hate that Leftists use Global Warming as a cause to implement their political ideology. I think that Mormons, who tend to be Conservative, are resistant to that kind of brainwashing... Hrm, I wonder if the Church endorsed Manmade Global Warming if they'd be more open to it...
