Are Never-Mo's who frequent this board just LONELY?

Given the amount of time some Never-Mo's spend on this board discussing a religion that they never spent time trapped in, would you consider them lonely in real life?

Perhaps this board is their only social structure?

Inquiring minds are curious.

with all due respect, are you sure you are not trying to justify the time you spend watching Mormons read the Book of Mormon on You Tube?

Anyway, we are a species that produces train-spotters and pidgeon fanciers. Some never-mo, hunched over crumb-covered laptop and clutching a warm thermos of tea, has probably got a well-thumbed note-book recording the date and time of your every post.

Are exmo's who keep posting inane, angry and senseless posts stupid, emotionally unstable and in need of therapy?

Since it is obvious that Porter is referring to Jersey Girl, I will speak my peace, since she is my friend.

Porter's reading comprehension skills are obviosly lacking, because Jersey Girl has stated on many occasions why she is involved with the board. Her initial curiosity about Mormonism occurred when a close friend of hers was a member. As she began to do research on the subject of Mormonism, she happened upon Z, FAIR/MAD, and this site.

She continues to post here based on her friendships here.

As far as her not having any social structure, that is truly a laugh. Porter's reading comprehension skills must have also been lacking when Jersey Girl mentioned the fact that she us a full-time Early Childhood Education teacher and curriculum developer. If you notice, she rarely posts during the day. Most of her posts occur in the evenings when she is home from work.

I would think that Porter's social structure is a lot more warped, considering that it appears he spends hours trolling missionary sites and Mormon spots on YouTube. For someone who is supposedly over the Mormon Church, I would say he is the one with problems.

Posting here should never be considered a problem or unhealthy or a symptom of a larger issue. Posting here should be considered healthy.

Good grief.

Exactly. If posting here is truly a problem, then we're all warped. LOL

Well, I for one am not warped. Curvy, yes. Warped, no. Not wrinkled either. I'll own up to freckled though. Too much time in the sun when I was younger.

That's odd. I thought screen name #4 was ignoring me.

Most of the years I've spent involved in online discussion/debate have not been spent discussing Mormonism.

They have also not been spent scouring Youtube for any little crumb I could dig up regarding Mormonism, making prank phone calls to online missionary websites or posting from the bottom of a bottle of booze.

And you?

Perhaps this board is their only social structure?

Social structure? What sort of social structure are you thinking of? Please articulate your thoughts, or should I consider the OP your feeble attempt at doing so?

Inquiring minds are curious.

I see no evidence for "mind". The burden of proof belongs to you. If you're able to supply proof of "mind", please locate your "mind" and all the "thoughts" contained therein, pack them up nicely in a snack size ziploc and get back to me.

I think Nevermos bring a lot of perspective to Mormonism, regardless of the level of their knowledge. Most non-Mormons I know have absolutely no interest in Mormonism, and certainly not enough to sustain years of posting on Mormon-related boards.

Sometimes I view them as sort of zoo-tourist looking at all the animals fighting over a curelom's bone.
